Privacy

CaribTutor is the merchant of record, so we see the payment record for a lesson even when a card processor handles the card number. This page says what we store and why, in plain language.

What we collect

Account details: name, email, role (student, tutor, or admin).
Profile and onboarding answers (subjects, timezone, intro video for tutors).
Bookings, messages, classroom issue reports, and lesson notes.
Payment status and amounts. Card numbers stay with Stripe when you pay by card. Lynk or bank references are stored as text you or an admin enter.

How we use it

We use this to run lessons, show the right dashboard, pay tutors by hand, send optional email if that is configured, and help support. We do not sell your personal information.

Who else sees it

The other person on a booking sees what they need for that lesson (name, time, subject, messages). Admins can see accounts and payments to operate the marketplace. Card processors see card details when you check out with Stripe. We do not use Stripe Connect.

Cookies and local storage

We keep a login session so you stay signed in. We may store a referral code, theme preference, and similar product settings on your device. These are for running the site, not for selling ads.

Payments and cancellations

Because CaribTutor is merchant of record, refunds and keep-fee outcomes follow our cancellation policy. Payment providers may keep their own records of a charge.

Your choices

You can update name and profile details in Settings. To close an account or ask what we hold, email support@caribtutor.xyz.
