CaribTutor is the merchant of record. You pay CaribTutor for lessons — not the tutor directly. This is the plain-language version of how the marketplace works. It is not a lawyer-drafted contract.
CaribTutor (caribtutor.xyz) is a tutoring marketplace. Students book live lessons with independent tutors. We run the product, take payment, and pay tutors separately. We are not Stripe Connect and we do not collect bank logins.
You need an account to book or teach. Keep your email and password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should help you use the service.
When you book a paid lesson, you pay CaribTutor. Card payments go through Stripe Checkout. Lynk, bank transfer, and other local methods stay manual until an admin or tutor confirms the money arrived. A success page is not proof of payment.
A booking is a scheduled live session between a student and a tutor. Exam results are not guaranteed. Tutors set their own teaching style and availability. CaribTutor provides the room, the calendar, and the payment rail.
Cancel 12+ hours before start and the student is refunded. Inside 12 hours the tutor keeps the fee. The full rules — including no-shows and admin emergencies — live on the cancellation policy page. The server decides the money outcome.
Be respectful in lessons, messages, and classrooms. No harassment, no sharing other people's private information, and no using the platform to skip paying a tutor outside CaribTutor for a booking that started here. We can suspend an account that breaks this.
